I was a bit young so I'm not going to tell you how good or bad of a pitcher Bill Singer was. If I did, it would be solely looking at the back of his baseball card.
No, my memory of Bill Singer goes back to a family trip to Toronto in 1977. We had a baseball trivia book, it might have been "Baseball Digest." My memory isn't that good.
One of the questions was something along the lines of "This Bill is a pitcher for the Blue Jays."
Having no clue, I remember asking the guy at the front desk if he knew the answer to the question. I guess he wasn't a baseball fan because had no clue.
Do I remember if I got the answer at age 8? Nope, But I remember asking the question!
