1978 Topps Jimmy Wynn (Custom Card)
For Jim Wynn, I have broken my own rule and used a custom card from the Internet as there are no cards of The Toy Cannon as a Milwaukee Brewer. He played very briefly with the Brewers before retiring so he didn't make much of an impact. I honestly never knew he played there when he was active. But I always loved him as a player. Starting with his nickname, "The Toy Cannon." What a great nickname. Plus his baseball cards were always cool. If I hadn't used this card, I would ha

1990 Fleer Jerry Reuss
You can fight me all you want but 1990 is considered vintage. Yes, it means you and I are old, it's that simple! 1990 Fleer is one of the most bland and boring designs ever. It is not nearly as ugly as 1991 Fleer or 1988 Donruss, but it's boring. That being said, there are some cool cards in the set. One of those cards features 22 year major league hurler Jerry Reuss at the tail end of his lengthy career. In 1989, the 40 year-old was having a solid season with the White Sox w

1987 Topps BJ Surhoff
I'm going to start by telling you that 1987 is vintage so this is a legitimate Baseball Card Memory. If you're old like me, you may not want to believe that this card is more than 30 years old. But alas, it is the truth. So deal with it! BJ Surhoff was the first and only overall number one draft pick the Brewers even had. At the time, I was an obsessive Brewers' fan living in New Jersey. This was exciting to me to finally follow a team with the overall number one pick. Surho

1973 Topps Don Money
Horrid Airbrushing! Without a doubt, one of the worst airbrushing Topps ever did. Please note Philadelphia's Veteran's Stadium (RIP) in the background, long before interleague play. But that's okay. Older Topps airbrushing has character to it that us old guys love! Poor Don Money, traded to make room for some scrub named Schmidt. And worse, this Schmidt guy couldn't even hit .200 the year he replaced Money. Wonder what happened to Schmidt. Money meanwhile played for more than

1977 Topps Darrell Porter
Rest In Peace... Another player who died too young. Darrell Porter had way too many issues including his drug addiction. A one time top prospect the Brewers traded from what I heard because he was a pain in the rear. Porter had the last laugh though, winning a World Series ring in 1982 with the Cardinals against his old team. I read his book, "Snap Me Perfect" but was not impressed. I really think people should find a way to deal with their problems besides drugs. Now that's
