S ometimes a player that made little impact in the major leagues seems to stick in your head. A perfect example of this was former Giants & White Sox backup catcher, Marc Hill. W e continue to remember major leagues we have lost in 2025 with 14 year veteran Tommy Helms. Playing multiple positions, Helms started for nine years for the Reds and Astros. He would finish off his career with a brief stint with the Pirates & Red Sox. It's funny that I remember him mostly for his 1977 Topps Baseball card that features him with a team he never played for. The A's purchased him from the Pirates after the 1976 season ended. The A's would trade him back to the

W e continue to remember former major leaguers who passed away in 2025 with former utility player for the Cubs, Cardinals, Rangers, Brewers & Giants, Vic Harrs. First of all, I never knew that he played for the Brewers. I followed them as closely as any 11 year old could back in 1980 and never saw his name mentioned. He was signed as a free agent by the Brewers before the 1980 season and appeared in 34 games.
